Asan Memorial Senior Secondary School was inaugurated on 30 July 1966 in memory of the Malayalam poet Mahakavi Kumaran Asan and is managed by the Asan Memorial Association, which has been in educational service in Chennai since 1965. It received CBSE affiliation in 1969 and describes itself as the first private CBSE school in Chennai city. The school works from the Cochin House campus on Anderson Road.
