Modern High School for Girls was founded on 3 January 1952 by Rukmani Devi Birla and is today associated with the CK Birla Group. The school educates over 2,500 girls from nursery to Class XII and is affiliated to the CISCE for ICSE and ISC, while also offering the IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme as international options. It is regarded as one of Kolkata's foremost girls' schools.
