Leave keeps the register honest: an approved leave day is marked Leave, not Absent, and suppresses the absence alert.

    Request
    A parent (for a student) or a staff member submits a leave request with dates and a reason.

    Approve
    The class teacher or admin approves; the parent/staff gets a confirmation.
  3. 3
    Auto-apply
    On the leave date the day is pre-marked Leave — no absence alert is sent.
  4. 4
    Balance
    Approved leave is deducted from the annual leave balance (and from payroll for staff).
Approve before the cutoff
If a leave is approved after the morning absence cutoff, that day’s absence alert may already have gone out — it isn’t retracted. Approve early-morning leave before the cutoff.
Teacher
Half-day leave isn’t auto-detected from the gate — mark it by hand on the class dashboard and add a note.
